A date with Ramadan

#Ramadan is just around the corner, all around the world muslims are going to fast this month. From sunrise to sunset - and they break the fast by eating dates.

The reason #dates are the first food they eat is because it is packed with #nutrients, and gives an #instantenergy boost after a long day of #intermittentfasting.


Filled dates are a fun and easy way to pep up a #dinner/#snack #table






 


Ingredients


  • 24 #Medjooldates

  • 2-3 tbsp Cream cheese

  • 1 tbsp Chopped pistachios

  • 1 tbsp Chopped almonds

  • 1 tbsp Dessicated coconut



Method


  • Slit the dates from the middle, lengthwise - making sure not to cut them in half.

  • De seed and set them aside

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, nuts, and coconut

  • Fill the dates, refrigerate, and serve cold!
